Mexican food



Before I moved to San Francisco, I was not a big fan of Mexican food. You see, in Michigan, where I grew up, that the Mexican restaurants were not very good. You would almost inevitably make some sacrifices. The food was made in a style very American. Basically consisted of grilled meat, cheese, fat, flour tortillas and refried beans. Although cheese, meat, beans and tortillas are important ingredients in Mexican food, there is a definite difference between authentic Mexican cuisine and Americanized or Tex-Mex food.




Firstly, Mexican food uses few spices. Not all ingredients after all. Much like any type of kitchen has to do with how you prepare it. Using fresh, flavoursome marinated peppers and stone ground flour makes a lot to improve the taste of food. What I didn't know until I had was southwestern Mexican cuisine is diverse as. There is much more that burritos and toasted.




If you ever had authentic Mexican food, I think you should start with something that involves a mole sauce. This will help break all their illusions about what is about Mexican cuisine. This Salty, spicy chocolate sauce is used in savory dishes so completely familiar with the Americans. Chocolate is a rich part of Mexican cuisine and history of Mexico, and the people of the country to use it in unexpected ways. You'll really like it or don't really like, but either way it will make a profound impact on you.




However, my very favorite Mexican food are similar to what I grew up with. I have to admit that sometimes I get a craving for a burrito cheese or something like that. Mexican foods are foods comfort – starch, fatty cheese, and meat are all key ingredients. As such, may be the perfect pick-me-up when you're having a rough day. Just don't get carried away!




One of the best ways to explore the Mexican food is to try it on your own. Many Mexican dishes are easy to make it home. You can find in Internet or Mexican recipes in cookbooks. One of the great things about it is that is easy to mess with. The recipes are simple enough for the most part, and can be very difficult to screw up something. Just remember, peppers and cilantro are key!
